The Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID) and the Village of Great Neck Plaza will host the 9th Annual Halloween Celebration and Parade on Bond Street between North Station Plaza and Grace Avenue on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Staging for the parade will be in North Station Plaza parking lot of the Great Neck LIRR train station and will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m.
Children are invited to parade as ghosts, princesses, their favorite superheroes or other imaginative characters and will be able to enjoy free Halloween gifts, pumpkin-drawing crafts, bouncer rides, games and music.
“We are always looking for fun ways to bring the village together and promote our village businesses to the community. The Annual Halloween Celebration and Parade has been a highlight of the fall season in the plaza for the last few years,” said Allen Honig, Great Neck Plaza BID Board member and owner of Poultry Mart. “It is truly a day that everybody is able to enjoy.”
Merchants in the Great Neck Plaza business district will be distributing treats to children and assisting with the parade. Each child in the parade will receive a gift bag, filled with small gifts, candy and special merchant coupon offers for parents.
“It’s always a thrill to see the children, families and residents of the Great Neck community enjoy this festive event and share their creativity,” said Ron Edelson, executive director of the Great Neck Plaza BID. “Halloween in Great Neck Plaza is something we look forward to every year because it brings excitement to our community.”
