What’s better than learning all about French wine, Bourbon and Tequilla from a couple of experts? Tasting it, of course! That was the consensus following a Mothers’ Group of Manhasset (MGM) Couples’ Event hosted by Young’s Fine Wines on Plandome Road on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The first MGM Couples’ Event of the year was a hit. MGM Copresidents Holly Wilson and Karen Baumbach praised the efforts of organizers Rachael Bilello and Andrea Deignan who worked with Young’s staff to put the entire evening together.
MGM member Patricia Frank said, “The event was very educational and a wonderful opportunity to make new friends.” Member Stacey Kelly echoed the sentiment saying, “What a really great evening spent with friends new and old!”
Michael Cattano, husband of member Nina Cattano, described the evening as “a great time and good way to meet people in the community.”
Brian Burik, husband of member Lindsey Burik agreed. “Great people, great drinks and a wonderful way
to socialize.”
Many of the wines were paired with specifically chosen nibbles. Young’s also put two spirits, tequila and bourbon, on show with a tasting as well as mixing cocktails for everyone to sample.
