The Village of Roslyn will host two films from the 2015 Gold Coast International Film Festival.
This Friday, Nov. 13, both The Chef’s Wife and Tumbledown will be shown at the Bow Tie movie theater in downtown Roslyn.
The Chef’s Wife will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by Tumbledown at 8:45 p.m.
The Chef’s Wife is directed by Anne Le Ny, France and will be shown in French with English subtitles. Its runs 91 minutes.
Tumbledown is directed by Sean Mewshaw. It is an American film in English and runs for 103 minutes. Both films are straight-forward narratives.
In all, the festival will feature more than 60 films and dozens of filmmakers at screenings and events through Nov. 15 throughout the North Shore. The fifth anniversary of the festival will be held in venues throughout the Town of North Hempstead, including the Gold Coast Arts Center in Great Neck, Soundview Cinemas in Port Washington, the Bow Tie Cinemas in Great Neck, Port Washington and Manhasset and as well as at LIU Post.
Films will showcase Hollywood actors including Richard Gere, Oliver Platt, Rene Russo, Jason Sudeikis, Rebecca Hall, Christopher Walken, Amber Heard and many more. Award-winning films from the world’s most prestigious festivals will be screened, as will more than 25 short films, along with Q&As from visiting shorts filmmakers.
