The Mineola School District will be holding a special district vote today to spend capital reserve funds on building additions and athletic turf fields at the Hampton Street and Mineola High schools. Voting will take place at the Jackson Avenue School and the Meadow Drive School between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.
The turf field plan was hotly discussed in school board meetings and during the recent Mineola School Board election race.
