A hit-and-run driver killed a pedestrian crossing Merrick Road in Lynbrook on Thursday night, Nassau County police said.
A man was crossing the road when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle near the corner of Hilton Street shortly after 9 p.m., police said.
The vehicle continued driving without stopping. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity wasn’t immediately available.
