The fifth Annual Manhasset Pumpkin Fundraiser held on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Manhasset Secondary School, was a smashing success. Despite being a rainy day, the sale raised over $7,000. All proceeds of this year’s sale were donated to three Manhasset organizations: Manhasset Chapter of the Best Buddies, Project Share and Adventures in Learning.
Through the generosity of Michael McGoey and his parents along with the Rainson, Cizmarik, Aspinall and Morris families involved in the sale, every dollar earned at the pumpkin sale goes to charity. Past charities chosen by the student councils were: Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer and Paul Newman Double H Ranch. The sale has become something the entire community looks forward to and we hope it continues for many years to come.
