On Friday, Dec. 4, South Floral park residents, officials and community members joined at the corners of Louis Avenue and Chelsea Street to celebrate the start of the season with a Christmas tree lighting and carols. Immediately following, everyone enjoyed a visit from Santa Claus. Santa Claus posed for photos with children of all ages, young and old, and even had a special surprise for everyone in attendance. South Floral Park Village collected new, unwrapped toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots campaign.
