Belle Terre Man Killed in Lamborghini Crash

A 48-year-old Belle Terre man was killed when he crashed a Lamborghini in Port Jefferson on Sunday afternoon.

Suffolk County police say Glen Nelson, CEO of The Matrix Group, a real estate company, was driving a Lamborghini eastbound on East Broadway when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole at the corner of High Street at 3:40 p.m.

The victim was taken to Saint Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, where he was pronounced dead.

Nelson is survived by four children Brianna, Phillip, Christopher and Gina, his fiancé Susan and her son Mitchell and his former spouse and mother of his children, Sandy Nelson

Sixth Squad detectives impounded the vehicle, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the crash to call them at 631-854-8652.
