Vehicular Accident In Roslyn Harbor

The Homicide Squad reports an arrest for assault on Saturday, Jan. 2 at 1 p.m. in Roslyn Harbor.

According to detectives, Scott J. Jutkins of St. Charles, IL, was driving a 2011 BMW westbound on Bryant Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole at Motts Cove Road South. The collision caused serious injuries to his female passenger, 36 years of age, who was transported to an area hospital where she is listed in serious condition.

Jutkins is charged with assault second degree and driving while intoxicated. He was arraigned on Sunday, Jan. 3, at First District Court in Hempstead.

Bank Robbery In Greenvale

The Major Case Bureau reports the details of a bank robbery, which occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. in Greenvale.

According to Robbery Squad detectives, a male suspect entered Chase Bank located at 57 Northern Blvd., armed with a silver automatic handgun. The suspect is described as a black male or Hispanic male, 5’ 6″ tall with a thin build, wearing a dark- hooded shirt, dark pants, gloves and a mask. He demanded money from a teller, who complied, giving the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot through the north side exit doors in an unknown direction. There were six employees and two customers in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries are reported at this time.
