4th Trashion Show

4th Annual Trashion Show
All students interested in participating in the 4th Annual Trashion Show should submit an entry by 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 to either the “Yes We Can” Community Center (141 Garden St., Westbury, NY 11590) or the Town’s Solid Waste Management Authority (802 West Shore Rd., Port Washington, NY 11050).
The event is sponsored by NEFCU and Sustainable Long Island.
Designed to spread the powerful message of Recycle, Reuse and Rethink, the annual contest invites students to create wearable fashion using reclaimed materials. In addition to focusing on the importance of recycling, the Trashion Show showcases our students’ work and creativity. Students are then invited to model their creations on the runway at the Platinum-LEED Certified “Yes We Can” Community Center. In addition to the show, the winning designs will be displayed in the gallery of the center.
Winners will be announced on Jan. 28, 2016, at the “Yes, We Can” Center from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
