MHSbriefs_011316AMustangs Look To Bounce Back
An inexperienced Mineola Varsity Boys Basketball team has started off the season with a difficult 1-6 record (0-2 in Conference 4A). The single win was against MaCarthur High School on Dec. 11, with a 48-37 tally.

John McMahon led the Mustangs in that contest as he has all season with 21 points and 8 rebounds. David Lee chipped in with 11 points and 7 rebounds. On the season, McMahon is averaging 17 points-and 5 rebounds per game while handling the majority of the ball handling duties, in addition to often guarding the other team’s best player.
Look for the Mustangs to gain some momentum heading into the New Year and hopefully earn some hard-nosed victories as they get into the heart of league play.
