Twin Pines Thrift Shop, a staple of the Port Washington community, needs volunteers. Twin Pines has been lovingly run by volunteers for many years but new helping hands are needed. If you have time you would like to donate, please consider offering your help to Twin Pines.
“Twin Pines has always been a welcoming place for people to come in and find a treasure, needed clothes, coats or uniforms,
children’s gently used toys or canned goods,” said Julie Meer Harnick, executive director of the Community Chest of Port Washington. “And when the food co-op was active (in the 1990s) members could get organic and healthy food at good prices through their volunteer time. I’m convinced that with some TLC and helping hands, Twin Pines can be brought back to its former glory.”
Twin Pines is closed and not accepting donations for the month of January. Twin Pines is located in the Community Chest building at 382 Main St.
