The Drowsy Chaperone Will Amuse JCC Audiences

The Sid Jacobson JCC’s Community Players will present the Tony Award-winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 6, at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. 

The Drowsy Chaperone tells the story of a theater fan who plays his favorite cast record and watches as the characters come to life in this musical comedy. Great Neck resident Leslie Aiuto will play Kitty, Scott Evans is the Man in Chair and Great Neck South grad Steve Brustien will portray Aldolpho in this musical.

Drowsy“After seeing the original Broadway production in 2006 starring Sutton Foster, I couldn’t wait for the chance to produce this clever and funny musical,” said producer and Sid Jacobson JCC’s Theatre Arts Director Susan Kalman.

General admission tickets cost $22; tickets for seniors, students and Sid Jacobson JCC members are $20. Special group rates are available for 10 and more. Tickets can be purchased at the Sid Jacobson JCC front desk or by emailing skalman@sjjcc.org. The Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center
