Kane Appointed Chair Of Vincent Smith School

The Vincent Smith School announced the appointment of Patrick Kane as the 2015-16 chairperson of the school’s board of trustees. Kane replaces Judah Samter, who will remain on the board as a trustee.

Kane and his wife, Connie, have two sons who have attended the school for more than three years; Derek is in the 12th grade and Brett is in 9th. They sought out the school when they determined that their sons needed to learn differently than they were in public school.

They are well-adjusted, confident, happy and my wife and I are thrilled at the progress they have made over their years at the school,” said Kane. “Our boys are understood and nurtured; they know what is expected of them, both academically and socially. The Vincent Smith School has helped us realize that our dreams for each of our boys have become a reality, each and every day.”

“I have always admired Kane’s passion and devotion to the school. Kane’s appointment demonstrates the board’s continued commitment to the school’s core values. I look
forward to working with and learning from him,” said John Baldi, head of school.
