Temple Chaverim, serving Syosset, Jericho and Woodbury, invites the community to join its family bingo night on Sunday, March 13. Beginning at 4:30 p.m., the evening will include a pizza dinner, dessert buffet baked by members of the bingo committee, prizes and fun for everyone.
This year marks 11 years of family bingo at the temple, located at 1050 Washington Ave. in Plainview. The bingo committee of dedicated women have made the event a success year after year, with adults and children alike enjoying a delicious pizza dinner and a smorgasbord of desserts and snacks while playing bingo as well as other fun surprises throughout the evening. There will be a ton of prizes, plus a chance to win a coveted High Holidays parking space and a 50/50 raffle. Plus, every child leaves a winner with a parting gift at the end of the night.
“I always find it so rewarding and amazing to see kids, who are usually tied to a computer screen or some other device, enjoying an electronics free night with their families,” said Merrie Radisch, the event’s chairperson. “It’s a great time out from all of our hectic lives and gives families a chance to enjoy each other.”
If you have come to bingo over the past 10 years, come celebrate the 11th anniversary—if you haven’t come to family bingo before, come and see what you have been missing. Sign up early to take advantage of discounted advance pricing. Family bingo is not just for members, it’s for the entire community, so bring your family and friends.
RSVP’s are required to ensure enough food. Cost is $13 per person in advance by March 7, $15 per person after, children under 2 are no charge.
