June M. Spataro (née Richardson), age 89, of Port Washington, died on Feb. 23, 2016. She was the devoted wife of the late William C. Spataro. June is survived by her children Carla C. Lord (Robert W.), Paula M. Johnson, Anthony G. Grimaldi (Sandy Alonso) and Rosanne Deptula; her grandchildren Kristin M. Kutscher, VMD, James A. Grimaldi, Elaine Deptula, Lori Mattera and Danielle Dungey; and her great-grandchildren Julia M. Carvalho, Evin Papini, Carmine J. Grimaldi, Ashley Mattera, Tyler Mattera, Sage Dungey, Matthew Dungey and Zachary Dungey. She blessed everyone with her smile and kindness, and was known for her love of life, family, animals and gardening. She will be missed by all. Funeral arrangements were handled by Austin F. Knowles, Inc. Funeral Home. A religious service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church, Roslyn, on Monday, Feb. 29, at 10 a.m. The interment followed at Nassau Knolls Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the ASPCA or to a charity of your choice.
