State Senator Jack Martins (R-Old Westbury), who represents the Roslyn area in Albany, has been added by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) to its Young Guns program, naming him as being “on the radar” ahead of the 2016 elections.
“Being named to the NRCC’s Young Gun program so quickly in this race continues this momentum. I appreciate the confidence from Chairman Greg Walden, his team and the confidence the voters throughout the district have shown since I announced I was running for Congress,” said Martins.
Martins is running for congress in New York’s Third Congressional District, which includes parts of Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties. The seat is currently held by Steve Israel (D-Huntington) who is retiring at the end of his term.
