Special Women Celebrated

In recognition of Women’s History Month, the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Nassau County will host a buffet luncheon to celebrate “Women In Media” on Sunday, March 13, from noon to 4 p.m.
Newsday Columnist Joye Brown will be the luncheon’s keynote speaker.
The 2016 Women In Media honorees are: Angela Susan Anton, publisher and editor-in-chief of Anton Media Group; Shirley Ann Bruno, former executive director of Public Access TV and Silvana Diaz, publisher and editor of Noticia
Long Island.
The luncheon will be held at Verdi’s of Westbury, located at 680 Old Country Rd. in Westbury.
