Adult Programs
Chi Kung (Qigong ) Meditation Classes—Join Andrea Albergo for Chi Kung which is considered a beautiful peaceful path for body, mind and spirit. Registration required. Remaining classes are Tuesdays, March 15, 22, 29 and April 5, from 11 a.m. to noon.
Book Club Opening Night Meet and Greet—This will be a brief meeting to discuss format, rules (or lack thereof) and to share ideas about favorite books. This will also be the night where members may pick up the selected book for the April meeting. Refreshments will be served. Thursday, March 10, at 7 p.m.
In The Gallery—View works in acrylic, watercolor, pastels and oils by local Baldwin artist, Catherine White. A painting by White of Pope Francis which was hung in St. Patrick’s Cathedral during the Pope’s recent visit to the U.S., may be viewed at an art reception on Saturday, March 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments, music and song by a local church choir.
Yoga—Robert Crowe will introduce you to the beneficial practices that help you relax, meditate and reach optimum health. Remaining sessions are Mondays, March 14, 28 and April 4 and 11, from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
Movie—Watch Suffragette on Thursday, March 17, at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, March 18, at 11 a.m.
George and Gracie: A Love Story—Join the talented performers of Plaza Theatrical Productions, Inc. for a wonderful story of true love and laughter. Saturday, March 19, at 2 p.m.
Adult Coloring—Have fun while you learn about the newest coloring books, pencils, crayons and free online sources. Wednesday, March 23, at 6:45 p.m.
Children’s Programs
Pot o’ Gold Rainbow Cupcakes—Decorate a cupcake with candy, frosting and other goodies for Saint Patrick’s Day. This program may contain food allergens. First-grade and up may sign up to attend. Tuesday, March 15, at 4:30 p.m.
Leprechaun Secrets—Uncover hidden rainbows, experience the magic of color-changing leprechaun beads, and discover leprechaun eggs that appear and vanish in a blink of an eye with instructor Susan Sears. Take home your own color-changing leprechaun. Kindergarten-fourth grade may sign up to attend. Wednesday, March 16, at 4:30 p.m.
Easter Basket and Mini Egg Hunt—Listen to Easter stories, color an Easter bag, and take part in a mini egg hunt in the Community Room. Ages 2—K (with adult caregiver) may sign up to attend. Pick either session: Thursday, March 17, at 4:30 p.m. or Thursday, March 24, at 7:15 p.m.
