Town Honors Vacchio For 51 Years Of Service

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Town Clerk Wayne Wink honored Tal Vacchio on Feb. 24 at Westbury Manor. Vacchio was presented with a proclamation in recognition of his 51 years of dedicated public service. Vacchio has been with the Port Washington Water District for 15 years and has served as the Port Washington Water District superintendent since January 2002. Vacchio started his career with the Westbury Water District in 1965 as a water servicer and by 1980 he worked his way up to become superintendent. He remained Westbury Water District’s superintendent until 2002, when he left to become the Port Washington Water District’s superintendent.
