Former 2015 Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association (NSWCA) president Thomas P. Hand of the Massapequa Water District was recently honored by NSWCA during a recent meeting held at Palmer’s American Grille in Farmingdale. He was awarded a special citation from the Nassau County office of the executive for his significant contributions for the enhancement of the region and its residents.
The 2016 NSWCA president Raymond J. Averna of Massapequa Water District presented Hand with the award.
“Thomas truly deserves our appreciation for his leadership and guidance during his tenure,” he said. “His commitment to NSWCA and the communities we serve merit recognition.”
A commissioner with Massapequa Water District Commissioner over the past four years, Hand will continue to remain active with NSWCA.
