Nancy Comer is seeking reelection for a second term as trustee of the Port Washington Public Library. As a member of the board for The Baxter’s Pond Foundation of which Nancy serves as president, I have seen firsthand the energy, innovation and efficiency that Nancy brings to every project she works on. Nancy has been a longtime champion of the PWPL, from serving on the Health Advisory Council to founding the award-winning program Books for Dessert, and now as a current trustee. Her other endeavors for our larger community include serving on a National Eating Disorder Task Force and the Community Development Agency of the Town of North Hempstead. Her résumé extends beyond the nonprofit world to include writing, editing and marketing for national publications. Our library is a fount of knowledge and I often think of Nancy as one herself; she has been involved in such varied organizations. Nancy has been an integral part of the success of the PWPL for the past 10 years and I urge voters to reelect her so she can use her skills to help our library continue to grow and maintain its excellence.
