Please join me in voting for Bill Keller. I know Bill and he has proven to be the most qualified to keep our library at the highest caliber on Long Island. I listened to all the candidates at the LWV forum and Bill stood out as the most qualified. Bill has many years of personal experience with our library, plus the unique experience in his current position as vice president for finance and administration at Queens College, which includes overseeing their library. He has the operations and facilities experience to help us through the new Children’s Library renovation and has proven successes in budgetary planning and space management processes, both of which are challenges for our fiscal well-being and future needs.
While I have been involved in energy-saving projects at our library, I look forward to working with Bill, who has developed energy efficiency and preventive maintenance programs, saving CUNY over $1 million a year. We will gain much by having his knowledge and expertise to enhance our library board. Vote for Bill Keller, library trustee on Tuesday, April 12.
