Rushmore Avenue School recently had a visiting author. Laurence Pringle, now 80 years old, had his first book published 48 years ago. Since then, he has published 100 books about animals, history, nature and science. He did two one-hour assemblies and lunch with several students afterwards. The event was sponsored by the Rushmore Avenue PTA and coordinated by librarian Marni Nelson.
