Students at Cherry Lane School in the Carle Place School District recently celebrated Earth Day in a special ceremony with the Town of North Hempstead. 
At an assembly at the school, town representatives spoke about the importance of protecting the earth and distributed Earth Day T-shirts to each of the students. In addition, the school’s PTA supplied each student with a sun visor to assist in sun protection when outdoors.
