Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, in conjunction with the Nassau County Fire Commission, hosted a Firematic Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 27, at The Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center in Garden City. Port Washington Fire Chief Brian Waterson was presented with the Silver Medal of Valor, in the Class II category of Great Personal Risk.
“I can think of no more worthy cause than to support our firefighters and emergency medical responders,” said Executive Mangano. “I would like to thank each and every one of our honorees for their hard work and dedication to protecting Nassau County’s residents and their property.”
