The Town of North Hempstead had two celebrations for the 44th Annual Senior Recognition luncheon, one on Tuesday, May 17 and one today, May 19. 
There were 32 honorees selected by the town. According to Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth “our greatest asset is clearly our residents especially seniors.”
Harbor Links was packed with honorees and their supporters as they enjoyed a scrumptious luncheon. In her opening remarks Bosworth began, “Today, we recognize some truly exceptional seniors whose tireless efforts help make life better for all of us.”
The list of seniors include: Joseph Amplo, Emiliana Barrera, Jerry Berkson, Louis Biundo,Vincent Capasso, Anthony Carpinelli, Mary Castrianni, Marion Godschmidt, Barbara Heslin, Doroth Holt Mansur Jamal Lily Kashani, Dina Khordi, Ram Kriplani, Phoebe Lazarus, Karen Lee, Florence Licurse, Rosa Lobos, Dorisanne Loeschorn-Butera, Anne Maurice, Mary Mikowski, Habeebuddin Mohammed, Barbara Nelson, Dolores Oliphant, Mary Ann Plaia Bernice Roberts, Edith Rosen, Selwyn Rudnick, Ellen Schaier, Dan Scheidel Bill Vesely and Marianna Wohlgemuth. Bosworth continued, “they have helped to shape our community over the years and continue to give during their golden years.”
