JCC_052516AHundreds Attend Friendship Circle Luncheon
In what made for a bright, sunny and celebratory day, 350 attendees turned out for Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center’s (JCC) Friendship Circle Luncheon, A Yellow Rose Event on May 11 at Old Westbury Golf and Country Club.
The annual event raises funds to provide financial sustainability for the programs at the JCC that improve the lives of those afflicted with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other chronic conditions at any age or stage as well as providing support and education for their families. This year’s event raised crucial funds which will enable the JCC to expand its adult day programs in Suffolk County and Great Neck.


The event honored Gisele P. Wolf-Klein, MD, director of Geriatric Education at Northwell Health, as well as Tikkun Olam Award recipients Judie Chessin and Rhoda Kregsman. Wolf-Klein, professor in medicine at Northwell-Hofstra School of Medicine and professor of clinical medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, thanked those who attended the event to support a good cause, and praised the JCC’s adult day programs because they provide critically needed support to families in the throes of neuro degenerative disease.
Attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception and raffles, as well as a delicious lunch and dessert. They also enjoyed an exceptional live performance of music and comedy by the legendary entertainer/performer Sandra Bernhard.

Director Of Marketing
Jaime Krinsky has been appointed as the JCC’s new director of marketing. Krinsky has more than 10 years of professional experience in the field of marketing and communications. An accomplished professional, Krinsky has a wealth of marketing experience in everything from project management to brand marketing, as well as traditional and digital media strategies to social media and data analysis.
“I’m honored to be a part of the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center family,” she said. “This organization resonates with my passion for health, wellness and family. I look forward to applying my marketing skill set to bring greater attention to the JCC’s mission of providing programs and services for all that promote social, cultural and physical well-being. I’m thrilled to be part of a team that values community, camaraderie and the well-being of all who walk through our doors.”
