McKenna Learns About Hurricane Awareness

Oyster Bay Town Councilman Joseph G. Pinto (back row left) was in attendance for a Live Hurricane Webinar for the fourth, fifth and sixth grade students of McKenna Elementary School in Massapequa Park. This webinar is part of the 2016 Hurricane Preparedness Week of the National Oceanic Atmosphere Administration Hurricane Awareness Tour. The webinar was broadcast live from Galveston, TX, a stop on the Hurricane Awareness Tour.

Pinto gave a brief presentation before the webinar and he reminded students of the importance of planning ahead of time should a hurricane hit Long Island. On hand for the webinar with Councilman Pinto are Mckenna Elementary Principal Dr. Manda Lowry (back row fourth from left) and Assistant Principal Laura McConnell (back row right) and several 4^th, 5^th and 6^th grade McKenna Elementary students.
