Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Dr. Wafa Westervelt is the recipient of the Nassau Counselors’ Association’s Administrator of the Year Award. Dr. Westervelt is recognized for the outstanding support she provides to student-counseling professionals. The award is bestowed upon an administrator or supervisor who is not directly responsible for supervising counselors and/or human development specialists. She will be honored at the annual NCA’s Send-Off Dinner on June 14.
“Congratulations to Dr. Westervelt on this well-deserved recognition,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kathleen Mooney. “She continues to set a positive example for our faculty, staff and administrators, and reminds us of the high caliber of administrators we have here in the Port Washington School District.”
