The Jonas Chiropractic Series is a collaborative effort among Nassau County and its Parks Department, the Greater Long Island Running Club and Jonas Chiropractic. The Nickerson Beach race was the first of the Series of summer Thursday evening races at various Nassau County Parks, which will continue with a five mile run at Cedar Creek Park on June 16, a 5-kilometer run at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration on June 23 and a 4-mile run at Eisenhower Park on July 14.

“We are thrilled to be working with Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, Nassau County Commissioner of Parks Recreation and Museums Brian Nugent, and all the dedicated Nassau Parks staff,” said Larry Kurtzman of the Greater Long Island Running Club, also a Plainview resident, who serves as the co-director of the Run Nassau Series. “We have some outstanding parks here in Nassau County and the Jonas Chiropractic Series is a great way o bring them to the attention of local runners.”
