The Syosset girls’ golf team won the Long Island Championship recently for the third time in a row.
The 2016 Nassau County champion Syosset Braves played against the Suffolk champions Sayville at the Middle Island Country Club last month. In the championship match up, freshman Malini Rudra shot 74 to lead Syosset 433 to 458 over Sayville.
Rudra’s teammates Arushi Gauhlaut (81) Trisha Patel (87) had the days third- and fourth-best scores respectively. Sarah Sung, Leah Cullen and Cindy Zang were the other teammates.
Coach Naranjo was extremely proud of the girls and what they had achieved.
