The Jonas Chiropractic Series is a collaborative effort among Nassau County and its Parks Department, the Greater Long Island Running Club (GLIRC) and Jonas Chiropractic. The Nickerson Beach race was the first of the series of summer Thursday evening races at various Nassau County Parks, which will continue with a five-mile run at Cedar Creek Park on Thursday evening, June 16, a 5K run at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration on June 23, and conclude with a four-mile run at Eisenhower Park on July 14.
“We are thrilled to be working with Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, Nassau County Commissioner of Parks Recreation and Museums Brian Nugent, and all the dedicated Nassau Parks staff,” said Larry Kurtzman of GLIRC, who serves as the co-director of the Run Nassau Series. “We have some outstanding Parks here in Nassau County, and the Jonas Chiropractic Series is a great way to bring them to the attention of local runners.”
Runners can still sign up for any of the remaining races in the Jonas Chiropractic Series. Call Mike or Linda at GLIRC office at 516-349-7646 for information.
