On Friday, June 10, fifth-graders at Island Trees Memorial Middle Schools were treated to an assembly in honor of Flag Day, recognized each year on June 14. The presentation was coordinated by Andrew Booth and members of the Levittown American Legion, who discussed the history of the flag and what it means today.
Students participated in the presentation by learning how to properly display and fold the American flag. The students thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and ITMMS thanks the American Legion Levittown Post for meeting with the fifth-graders.
