The Cub Scouts from Tiger Den Pack 482 enjoyed a little pre-Belmont Stakes horse education by visiting the Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists Center on Plainfield Avenue. 
The center provides specialty veterinary care for horses and is located opposite the backstretch of Belmont Park. The Scouts got a tour of the facilities where they were able to see where horses were examined, the operating room and even got to visit with Marvel—the center’s blood donor horse. The pack leaders thank Jamie Cachia and the team at Cornell for making this a memorable experience for the children.
