Making History In Herricks

Herricks High School and Middle School students earned accolades at the May 26 Board of Education Meeting for their participation in New York State’s yearlong National History Day program. The honorees were presented with certificates that recognized the countless hours that they spent on historical research and analysis.
The Herricks Public Schools extends its congratulations to the following middle school students who will be moving on to the national competition: Derek Chen, Selina Chiang, Alison Chou, Grace Kim, Anohki Ladhani, Maggie Lau, Emily Wei and Rachel Won.
The district also wishes to congratulate the following high school students whose projects will advance to the National Competition at the University of Maryland in June: Sabreen Bhuiya, Alan Chen, Esme Chen, Julianna DeAngelis, Nicole Garcia, Sandhya Ganesan, Rachel Kim, Sulaiman Kidwai, Clare Klang, Melissa Lau, Felisha Ma, Neil Patel, Natasha Rowzani, Justin Senzer, Joshua Somrah, Vanessa Sun, Whitney Tam, Ashwin Viswanathan, Ashley Wong and Anna Zolyniak
