Percussionist Visits Middle School

Herricks Middle School percussion students had the opportunity to work with professional percussionist Steven Blutman on Tuesday, May 31.
The students performed percussion ensemble music and Blutman demonstrated proper techniques for each instrument. The guest musician stressed the importance of always creating the best sound when playing any percussion instrument. All participants received an opportunity to take on this charge by experimenting with various percussion instruments such as the bass drum, tambourine, and crash cymbals. The students enjoyed this clinic and learned many new skills.
