Film crews were on hand early this morning in Port Washington on the corner of Main Street and Shore Road to film the TV show Younger.
“Younger” follows 40-year old Liza, a suddenly single mother who tries to get back into the working world, only to find it’s nearly impossible to start at the bottom at her age.
Police were on hand to ensure cast and crew were safe during the morning summer rush hour. The staging was in front of the Dolphin Book Store with scores of cameras and technical crew stationed around. Trailers are parked at the Town Dock and in the parking area in the rear of Dolphin Books.
Traffic was moving through the area despite the filming.
Speaking to a member of the film crew, the shooting will take place during the daytime but not at night. According to Fred Haynes (I apologize if not spelled correctly), “I grew up in Port and returned. Where they are filming was where the first pay telephone was installed.”
