Garden City Detectives arrested a 25-year-old Blue Point female for the theft of a wallet from a locker in the Adelphi University gym.

Officers responded to the Second Street Apartments for disorderly youths. Upon investigation, officers located four youths under 16 from Garden City on the rooftop in possession of alcohol (beer). The 15-year-old youths were all cited as juveniles.
June 16
A 36-year-old victim reports that as he was exiting a doctor’s office on Franklin Avenue, an unknown male punched him in the face, threw him to the ground, and continued to punch him before persons passing by intervened. The victim suffered jaw and shoulder injuries. The subject is described as a 5’7” white male with dark, medium-length hair.
June 17
Sergeant Hickey stopped a vehicle on Rockaway Avenue for aggressive driving violations resulting in the arrest of the driver, a 28-year-old Hempstead male, for DWI and two unsafe lane/turn violations.

Officer Pumilia investigated a two vehicle crash on New Hyde Park Road. Upon investigation, the driver of one of the vehicles, a 30-year-old Queens male, was arrested for DWI. The arrested subject suffered leg injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

Spray-painted graffiti was found on the exterior wall of a Railroad Avenue business.
June 18
A bicycle was reported stolen from the yard of a Meadow Street residence.

Garden City detectives are looking for a subject who committed a lewd act from his vehicle towards two female teenagers who were walking on Meadow Street at Main Street. The subject is described as a heavyset male Hispanic in his 40s wearing a blue shirt and sunglasses. His vehicle is described as an older model maroon pickup truck with tan trim. The incident occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m.
June 19
As a result of a domestic incident investigation, Officer Laurita arrested a 26-year-old Garden City male, for reckless endangerment and harassment. The subject reportedly punched another family member repeatedly and then drove his vehicle towards the victim striking him with the sideview mirror.
June 20
Garden City detectives arrested a 20-year-old West Hempstead male for kicking and damaging a large sign in front of village hall on June 19. The subject was apparently upset that village court was closed when he went there to pay for a parking ticket; he was charged with felony criminal mischief.

Officer Russell conducted a traffic stop investigation on Clinton Road and Rainbow Place resulting in the arrest of an 18-year-old Baldwin male for possession of marijuana and two traffic offenses.
