Homicide Squad detectives have identified the victim in the July 21 fatal vehicular accident in Old Westbury as Mark K. Feldman from Sands Point.
According to detectives, Feldman was traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway at exit 39, when his vehicle became disabled due to a flat tire. The victim pulled over to the right shoulder of the roadway, exited his automobile and was struck by a United States Postal Service tractor trailer. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the truck remained at the scene.
There is no criminality at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
