What happens when two show-biz divas who despise one another accidentally get booked in to the same hotel suite? So many laughs that your sides will be splitting when Theatre Box of Floral Park presents the summer production of Michael McKeever’s Suite Surrender for six performances in air-conditioned comfort between Friday, July 29 and Saturday, Aug. 6 at United Methodist Church located at 35 Verbena Ave.
Suite Surrender takes place in 1942 at a swanky Palm Beach hotel, where the main order of business is preventing rival performers Claudia McFadden and Athena Sinclair from discovering they occupy the same suite. As doors slam, an assortment of crazy characters pop in and out of the room, from a bellhop who lives to get autographs to a gossip-hungry society columnist. Also causing havoc is a pampered pooch named Mr. Boodles.
Show times are Saturday, July 30 and Thursday, Aug. 4, Saturday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 31 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. For reservations and additional information, visit www.theatrebox.org or call 516-900-2031.
