High school seniors-to-be jumpstarted their college searches with a fun and informative barbecue at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.
Before digging in at a classic cookout, the students and their families toured the campus, led by student and alumni ambassadors. They visited residence halls and classrooms and were wowed by the college’s breathtaking views of the Hudson River.
By meeting with current Mount students, faculty, coaches, financial aid experts and admissions staff, students and their families learned about the diverse array of majors, courses and athletic opportunities offered by the college.
Julia Ewen of Massapequa is interested in the Mount’s nursing program. At the Mount, about 50 percent of freshmen aim for careers in health professions. The college offers a nursing program that boasts an NCLEX pass rate that consistently outperforms the state average.
