The Nassau County Police Benevolent Association, along with the Detective Association Incorporated and the Superior Officers Association, held a fundraiser to benefit the families of the five police officers who were killed in Dallas on July 7 and the three officers killed in Baton Rouge on July 17.The fundraiser was at Mulcahy’s Pub where over five hundred people came out to show their support. The event brought in over $100,000 that will be equally divided among the eight families.
This event followed a memorial held earlier in the day outside of Nassau County Police Headquarters that honored the fallen cops, where several local officials urged the public to support local law enforcement, especially during these difficult times.
