Senior Awards
Manhasset Coalition Against Substance Abuse awarded seniors Jenna Tishler and Alyssa Sanders Manhasset CASA’s Youth Committee Club Award of Excellence at Manhasset High School’s at the Senior Awards Ceremony. In addition, Julia Ellinghaus received Manhasset CASA’s Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Senior Award recognizing her sustained and selfless contribution to the school community by advocating for policies that protect all youth from harassment and bullying not only across sexual orientation but across race, ethnicity and class lines.

Honor Society
Honor Society
Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School recognized the achievements of its outstanding students at its Annual Honors Banquet held on June 13 at the Fox Hollow Caterers in Woodbury. Among those honored was Manhasset resident Grace Hanford.
Hanford received a National Honor Society Award. Membership in the LuHi Chapter of the National Honor Society is granted to those students who have been highly rated by faculty members in the areas of character, leadership and service and who have an 85 or better cumulative average. Departmental Awards are presented to seniors who have achieved academic excellence in different areas of curricular studies. Grace’s Visual Arts Department award honors her achievements in every area of Lutheran High Visual Arts course offerings.
She will be attending the University of San Francisco in the fall.
