Rabies Clinic
On Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Last Hope Animal Rescue (www.lasthopeanimalrescue.org) will be holding a free rabies vaccine clinic for dogs and cats at the Last Hope Adoption Center, 3300 Beltagh Ave., in Wantagh. All Long Island pet owners are eligible; no appointment necessary, but all pets must be at least 4 months old. Dogs must be leashed, and cats need to be in carriers. Dogs must be dog and people-friendly. Bring paper certificate proof of a recent rabies shot, if you are planning on asking for a 3-year, rather than 1-year rabies vaccine certificate for your dog or cat.
