Third Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 5:25 p.m. in New Hyde Park.
According to detectives, two black males entered 123 Storage, 119 S. 3rd St., approached a female employee and demanded she take them to the businesses cash register. After coming behind the counter and removing an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, the subjects took the victim into a back room office. One subject then displayed a black handgun and struck her in the head causing a laceration. After taking the victim’s wallet and cell phone, both subjects fled the business and were last seen on foot northbound on S. 3rd St. towards Jericho Turnpike.
The injured victim, who was transported to an area hospital for treatment, described the subjects as follows:
• 5’8”-6’ tall, 160 pounds with a bald head and no facial hair. He was wearing a gray sweat suit and black & white basketball shoes.
• 5’10”-6’ tall, 200 pounds, short hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a black short sleeve t-shirt, black pants and black shoes.
