Meet the Democratic and Republican candidates running for this November’s election on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Clinton G. Martin Park in New Hyde Park. Sponsored by the North Lakeville and Lakeville Estates Civic Associations, the event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Candidates in attendance at the meet and greet will be Kathleen M. Rice (D) and David Gurfein (R), running for the Fourth Congressional District (which includes Floral Park, Mineola, New Hyde Park, Westbury and many other areas); Adam Haber (D) and Elaine Phillips (R), running for the Seventh Senate District seat (which covers New Hyde Park, Manhasset, Mineola, Port Washington, Great Neck, Roslyn, Westbury and Hicksville); and Tony D’Urso (D) and Matthew Varvaro (R), running for the 16th Assembly District (which covers North New Hyde Park, Great Neck, Manhasset and Port Washington).
