On Sunday, Oct. 17, at approximately 12 p.m., three young ladies approximately 13 years of age were walking along Tulip Avenue near Laurel. An unknown man in a Grey Nissan Sentra called out to girls who then observed that his pants were open and he was exposing himself. They immediately fled and called their parents who in turn called the Floral Park Police Department.
The FPPD conferred with the 3rd and 5th Precincts of NCPD and unfortunately does not have any further information at this time. There have been no other recent incidents like this in Floral Park or in the surrounding communities.
On Saturday, at approximately 3:45 a.m., an unknown teen was captured on video trying the door handles of vehicles. He was able to gain entry into eight vehicles in the West End near Geranium and Zinnia taking small denominations of cash and at least one GPS device. The person described above had a hooded sweatshirt and black backpack.
The FPPD is currently trying to clean up video image for publication to get the public’s help in identifying the individual.
