Local runners are invited to the upcoming Blue Ribbon Run for Prostate Cancer. The 5 kilometer run will take place through the Syosset-Woodbury Community Park and in the surrounding area on Sunday, Nov. 13 from at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Integrated Medical Foundation (IMF), a non-profit organization that promotes awareness and early detection of prostate cancer, will be offering free screenings on-site for all men over the age of 40 who have not been previously diagnosed with prostate cancer. In addition, there will be an informative urology and men’s health exhibit. Participation will help raise funds for prostate cancer awareness, education and support.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall, top male and female masters, and the top three male and female finishers of particular age brackets.
