Nassau County police are investigating an armed home invasion in which three suspects ransacked an elderly couple’s bedroom in Elmont early Thursday morning, authorities said.
The three men, one of whom was armed with a knife, removed bars and a screen from a basement window on a Frick Street home before confronting the 69-year-old man 70-year-old woman inside at 1:40 a.m., police said.
Two assailants held the victims while the third ransacked the room and demanded money, police said. The trio then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victims were not injured.
